Statins can help prevent a second stroke
Statins are a popular class of cholesterol lowering drugs that lower bad cholesterol and raise good cholesterol.
A recent study has also shown that therapy with statins after a first stroke reduces the incidence of a second stroke occuring within a 10-year period and improves overall survival of the patient.
